This wine is a beautiful example of a big bold Australian Shiraz, Mclaren Vale wine region is producing some of Australia's best shiraz wines. Vinga Bottin have done a wonderful job with this Shiraz aged in oak with flavours of berries and herbs and big ripe tannins, my favorite wine in all our line up - Frank
Compare’s Shiraz is vinified in open fermenters and matured in old oak barrels, displaying intense aromas and flavours of Amarillo cherry and cut herbs. Punchy in fruit character but balanced with vibrant acidity and strong ripe tannins.
Our Compare’s Shiraz is a friendly vino to be shared amongst friends over a hearty meal. This year's vintage consisted of constant flowering and was set right across all varieties which set the foundation for an excellent ripening period and harvest.

About The Winery
At first just for family and friends, in 2006 Vigna Bottin was born from the Bottin’s estate grown Italian grape varieties. Paolo’s father Anselmo and uncle Ferdinando instilled the skills and passion for viticulture in Paolo at a young age, but it wasn’t until a trip to Italy after many summers tending the vineyards of mainstream varieties that planting Italian grapes in Australian soil became a reality.
The Bottin family have been growing grapes in McLaren Vale since 1970 and in Italy for generations before that. Wines with an Italian spirit are their specialty. From vineyard to barrel, their favourite Italian varieties thrive in the Mediterranean climate of McLaren Vale, developing into modern, Australian wines.
